Standard Shipping Insurance

You can purchase insurance coverage for your mailpieces for up to $5,000 in indemnity to protect against loss or damage. Insurance fees are based on the item’s declared value. There are limitations for insuring some products and certain items.

The recipient may be required to show an acceptable primary ID before USPS will deliver the mailpiece.

Pricing

Insurance coverage only covers the actual value of mail contents. You may purchase up to $5,000 indemnity coverage in person at a Post Office or online.
The price is based on declared value, starting at $2.60.

Priority Mail Express® and Priority Mail® include up to $100 of insurance in the price of service. For more valuable shipments, additional coverage is usually available.

Claims

Keep your postmarked mailing receipt and proof of value of your shipment in case you need to file a claim. When your mail item is lost, you should file a claim no later than 60 days from the date of mailing. If your item is damaged or missing contents, you should file a claim immediately but not later than 60 days from the date of mailing.

ShipInsure Protection

ShipInsure is a premium package protection provider for EquatoriaWorld.com. When you add ShipInsure to your order, you can easily file claims for lost, stolen, or damaged packages in the unfortunate case that they arise. When you file a claim, the ShipInsure team will review it, and they will get back to you within 24 hours.

If you have purchased ShipInsure Protection you will receive a confirmation email from them. You can also proceed to file a claim here

Note:  If you do not choose to insure your package for more than $200 with ShipInsure, your order will be covered for just the first $200 by Shopify.

Q: How do I file a claim with ShipInsure if my order is lost, stolen, or damaged?

A: If ShipInsure covers your order you should receive an email from us post-purchase. The email will contain your ShipInsure ID# (starting with SI). Simply go to our claims website here and provide your Email, ShipInsure ID#, Claim reason, and your Preferred resolution. And the ShipInsure team will review your claim and get back to you within 24 hours.

 

Q: How does ShipInsure reimburse me?

A: Based on your preferred resolution we either reship the product or refund your money.

Q: When do I have to file a claim?

A: Claims must be submitted within 15 days of the tracking delivery date or estimated delivery date.
