EQUATORIA has collected items from all over the world. We have spent a great deal of time and expense in the work of searching, purchasing, and researching dates and history of the items we offer. In some cases we have restored damaged pieces to their original beauty when necessary so they can once again be appreciated for their meaning and beauty. We have left some favored, old pieces to the wear and natural time worn patina of use over the years. Our customers are free to change the patina and/or polish our pieces to a higher sheen if they like.
We take pride in our time-tested methods for creating our designs, using the ancient lost –wax method.
The pieces are then finished in the tradition of antiquing and finishing, in order to recapture the original patina of these old designs. We strive for elegance. Equatoria offers our pieces sterling in sterling silver, bronze, and white bronze.
A number of our customers resell our castings in their retail stores. This is a benefit to everyone. A large number of our pieces have been designed and crafted by members of the Equatoria Team at our facility, and many more have been extensively modified, always with the highest quality and durability in mind. In many cases this brings them into a new category and out of the public domain. A number of these items now carry copyrights. We trust that our ownership of these items is respected in the market-place. Any breach would be a disservice to Equatoria and to all our customers.
